U.S. event planners may be able to claim a tax rebate if the attendance at the event is at least 75% non-Canadian. A 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST) is commonly charged on goods sold and services provided in Canada. Purchases made in Ontario are also subject to an 8% Provincial Sales Tax (PST).
