The International Centre is thrilled to announce it has been chosen as the exclusive VIP Culinary Host of this year’s Flash Forward Festival. This international five-day biennial event will launch in Toronto’s Liberty Village on October 6th to the 10th 2010. The International Centre, along with its Executive Chef Joe Levesque and his team of inspired culinary professionals will work in partnership with the Flash Forward Festival to create an extraordinary VIP reception experience.
The Flash Forward Festival features emerging photographers from Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The Festival is an extension of The Magenta Foundation’s successful annual emerging photographer’s competition, Flash Forward. Established as a platform to promote emerging artists, the Flash Forward competition has positioned itself as the critically important vanguard for introducing international emerging talent to a global audience.
In the past five years, Flash Forward has helped to launch the careers of more than 500 photographers from Canada, the UK and the USA. By introducing a biennial festival component to the annual competition, the Flash Forward Festival provides an in-depth experience for emerging photographers through educational and networking opportunities. The Festival will include five curated exhibitions, workshops, a lecture series, nightly VIP receptions, an art fair and a major closing event that will be filmed and transmitted globally.
With a firm belief in the importance of community involvement, the International Centre and its employees are proud to be given the opportunity to play an active role in many events and charitable functions held in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. The Flash Forward Festival is yet another event which the International Centre is excited and proud to be a part of.
As the official VIP Culinary Host, the International Centre will prepare and serve an assortment of menu options for VIP guests during each night of the festival. A firm believer in the importance of locally grown produce, the International Centre’s Chef Joe Levesque and his team pride themselves on their ability to incorporate local ingredients into their dishes. The International Centre stands behind its belief in offering locally sourced items, and as the exclusive VIP Culinary Host of this year’s Flash Forward Festival, they will continue to prove that finding great food is much closer to home than you may think.
