RSS is used in association with websites that contain information that changes regularly (for example; an online newspaper or a blog).
An RSS feed is a communication feed that contains information from the associated website and, when used in conjunction with an RSS reader, automatically retrieves the latest content from websites you are interested in.
In order to view an RSS feed you must first download an RSS reader which you can then add feeds to. Many websites display a small orange icon with the acronym “RSS” to let web surfers know that a feed is available. In order to add an RSS feed to the list of feeds your RSS reader checks, you must click on this orange button then copy and paste the text into your RSS reader. Your RSS feed will then automatically update itself with content from the requested website(s) and gives you the opportunity to read through this information at your own convenience. The main attraction of RSS is its ability to keep you instantly up to date without having to search through the website yourself.
